Technical Guidelines
1. Competition and Training Site
There are a total 8 courts at the tennis centre. At least 4 courts will be used for competition whilst the remaining will be used as practice court. Practice court will be assigned and will also be available for booking on the arrival of all participating teams.
2. Surface to be used
The tennis surface to be used will be Hard ( Techtone ).
3. Balls
WILSON US OPEN balls will be used for the competition.
4. Officials

5. Events
The 6th BIMP-EAGA Friendship Games tennis competition will consist of the following one (1) event.
6. Confirmed Participants
Each participating team will only be allowed to nominate a maximum of 5 players and minimum of 2 players excluding 1 coach and 1 team manager for the team event.
7.Technical Organization
The Brunei Darussalam Tennis Association is responsible and has full control of the technical organization of the tennis competition, in consultation with the Main Secretariat of the 6th BIMP-EAGA Friendship Games when necessary.
8. Draw Format
There are two different kinds of Draw formats which could be used for the Team Event, depending on the number team entries.
i). if there are 9 or more teams participating then a knock-out system will be used, where all 9 or more teams will be drawn into slots of 16 or 12 draw.
ii). If there are 8 or less teams participating then all teams will be divided into 2 groups where a round robin format will be used on each group, and the winner from each group will then play for the final of the team event.

All teams will not be given any seeded status regardless whether the players have national ranking or not.

Draw will be conducted by Tournament Referee on Thursday, 27th November 2008, at 1100 hrs at Tennis Centre.
9. Competition Format
All matches will be played to the best of three (3) tie break sets.
All players from every team are only allowed to play one single and one double match in every team event ties.
All teams will be given a Team Nomination form for team event. Forms must be submitted 30 minutes before the start of daily ties, however the Doubles names may be change after the finished of 2nd Singles match and Tournament Referee is to be inform 15 minutes before the Doubles Match start.
All teams will be given 30 minutes rest after 2nd Single before Double Match start.
The Tournament will be played in accordance with the Rules of Tennis 2008 and Code of Conduct of International Tennis Federation (ITF).
All matches will be played as follows:
1st Singles match = Number 2 Singles vs. Number 2 Singles
2nd Singles match = Number 1 Singles vs. Number 1 Singles
Doubles Match
(
The doubles match will be played irrespective if a result has been achieved in the team competition).
10. Officials
All matches will be provided with a chair umpire and minimum of two (2) line umpires.
11. Meals
All teams are to make their own arrangements for their meals on-site.
